Ho'okena Beach
How to find
- Between marker 101 and 102
- The winding paved road takes you about 2 miles to the beach
- when you are at the bottom of the hill stay left & follow the road with the
rock walls.
- Locals use this beach on the weekends
If you watched closely on the way down the hill you will have noticed a a pipe that
follows the road down to a change room. On the out side of the change room you can
take a solar powered hot shower. The water is heated in the pipe on its way down
the road by the sun.
Not only were the hot showers great but this beach has:
- Great sand, very fine in texture.
- Excellent snorkelling
- Good boogie board action
- Dolphins have been known to frequent the out skirts of the bay towards the south.
- Easy access
- This is Don's Favorite as he likes a hot shower.
